House Blackwell is a middling noble house in the aristocracy of the Kingdom, situated in the city of Neverwinter. Their dealings are primarily in the manufacture and trading of arms for the Duke's forces, using the ports of Neverwinter to trade with cities further inland. A newly raised house with only a century of lineage, they found favour and enjoy a favoured position at his table for their service in Neverwinter. This profession brings with it an expectation of martial proficiency, the Lord Blackwell having served as a companion of the Duke in his youth and his house still expected to give men when the Duke of Neverwinter calls upon them.
Albrecht is the second son of Lord Blackwell, far younger than his older brother Leoneld, the heir to the house. While Leoneld fought abroad as a cavalier in his youth Albrecht has lived a life of relative safety, Orc raids and minor skirmishes the extend of his martial experience. When his father began to reach the end of his life Leoneld began to prepare himself to take over as the master of the house. He expressed his wish to appoint Albrecht as captain of the house militia, but showed doubt in his experience with the world outside Neverwinter's walls. To this end he gave to Albrecht a small coin purse and the equipment he would need to survive in the wild and told him to take to the Cragmore region and prove himself as a warrior. Taking to this duty with eagerness Albrecht found himself at the small town of Fandolin, having heard rumours of a group of warriors who had slain the local bandits, as well as countless scores of greenskins in the area. These were warriors Albrecht could see himself fighting alongside, and men who would help his name rise in infamy.

Death

When the party cornered the Orc Warlord Garool atop the mountains of Elvandar the Warlord transformed himself into a mighty dragon. Albrecht was breathed upon by the dragons acid but kept fighting as his armour melted off his body. Swinging his silver sword to the last he was consumed by the vast maw of the dragon.
